Is 48 hours long enough to switch from methadone to suboxone ?

I had my last dose of methadone yesterday morning and I have a subs dr. appt. tomorrow morning.  Is that enough time between to switch to the subs ?  I've also taken some hydrocodone this morning to ease my wds and go to work.  when should I stop taking the vicodin as to not suffer from the switch to suboxone ?  Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

according to the suboxone website you NEED to be in "Mild to moderate w/d" when you go in for your first dose of sub.  If you aren't feeling the w/d than you might not get sufficient sub to counteract them when they do get bad.
I know it's going to be difficult and it is scary (for me at least) to think about..like driving when I'm in w/d ...but you should know what you have to miss med wise to bring w/d on.
Only you can know how long vic works for you.....and best of luck with sub...I am anxious to hear about how it works for you

wow I would not take anything more I am not sure if 48 hours is going to be long enough I hope so .I know people that have waited 72 hours after methadone to start sub and gone into precipitated wd they were up at about 30 mg of methadone i hope because you are on a very little amount that its ok.I am surprised you are felling wd from the methadone already.
