Wanting to use Sub for heroin w/d

I have been a herion user for about a year and a half, maybe 1/2 gram to a 1 gram a day. I have subs that I would like to use for the detox...
My question is how long do I wait to take the subs, I've been tappering off the herion for the last few days, for example I only did less than half my normal does yesterday at 7pm and that was the last of my stash. When should I start the subs and how much do I take? I keep hearing so many different things.

yeah, you do  need a doctor on board. if you use the sub to soon in will through you into some really nasty w/ds-plus you need to have a doctor for the fact that it consist of a lot more than just takin a pill-----you need to take advantage of the whole program they offer with it---just takin the sub might keep you clean for a short time--more than likely only till the sub runs out---but if you get into the program and take advantage of everything offered like couciling, therapy, maybe even like a 12  step program your chances of staying clean goes from about 0% to a considerable chance. You have to remember that if you have a few of these pills that are only going toput the w/ds off untill you are out, what good does tht do? When you run out of them subs you are gona still be a H addict without the sub---and we all know what will happen then. I norm dont agree with sub or methadone but when it comes to H addiction I do believe sub is an option but only after all your other options have been tried and failed. Have you considered just going c/t and throwing youself into soem intense out pataint rehab. If it were me I would try to lay the H down--and gather info on every meeting within a reasonable distance from your home and I would practically live in those meetings--I would be looking at doing several aday for atleast the first few months---keep yourself so busy that you dont have time to use--hang out with people that are clean so that they can help you be accountable for your actions. I wish you much luck and I know you can do this---you will be admazed at how quik the  physical w/ds are over---after that aftercare is IMO a most. Hi~  You really need to have a doctor on board with this. Sub requires a program of induction,therapy, and support. We're not doctors here so all I will say is please don't begin the sub without a doctor to advise you and calculate your dose.
