thx for your advices.
1. i'm not an addict finding excuses. i don't like pain killers. I used to refuse to take it even when i had severe menstrual pain, but now i'm tired of this unreasonable pain. i don't like any substances, even booze and nicotine. I'm just tired of pain.
2. Docs don't know what's wrong with me. My blood test, blood pressure, liver function, x-rays. etc, etc,... they say everything is OK.
But i always have some pain, one day it's my head one day it's my stomach, one day it's my joints...
3. I only take OTC kinda drugs. i've never laid my eyes on any strong pain killers, and i don't want them. i was talking about pain killers you can buy without prescription. tylenol, naproxen...
4. and i took your advices, I'm not taking pain killers now. Thx you guys, i think it was wise decision.
thx to everyone.
Hi! If you are taking non-narcotic painkillers NSAIDS for undiagnosable pain beware! Years of NSAIDS can lead to liver/kidney damage. I've seen it! Is there a possibility of going to a Naturopathic Dr. to check for Fibromyalgia or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome? Both are difficult to diagnosis and involve 'shifting' 'anomalous' pain. They are diagnosed through symptoms not through tests & Alternative Medical Practitioners (Drs,) have been much more successful at treating them than Allopathic (regular) Drs.
I think all of the above posters make good points so I won't repeat any of it. Just wanted to add the above possibility into the mix. If you insist on continuing your heavy NSAID use, please have regular liver function tests. Please, keep us posted & thanks for reaching out!
Depending on what you're using, it may lead to liver problems
Could you be more specific ? I can't tell whether you are talking about taking aspirins or oxycontin. I would think if you are taking two ibuprophen per day then that would be safe. Could you please tell us more. What is the 2 to 5 pills that you are taking ?
Since you use the term "years", then I'd have to say that your body and your mind will eventually become dependent on the meds. Even if your brain isn't wired like most of ours, over a long period of usage you will grow to need them just to feel "normal".
Now, the real point - you have pain that no one can find, no one acknowledges...but you are taking pain meds, so, where are you getting them? To me, you sound like an addict trying to add reason to an unreasonable situation. It's hard for some to admit their addiction, so they come up with cover stories.

The drugs you mentioned can cause liver problems in long term use, but rarely if taken as prescribed. Make sure you ask about opiates, benzodiazepines, tranquilizers, or any potential addictive drugs. Anyone CAN become an addict. Remember if the pharmacy says chemical dependence is possible, it is addictive. Always consider why you take them, if it's for any reason other than it's purpose, take caution. Drugs are not bad by themselves, the reason we take them can be.
Who is giving you the script? And why if there's no diagnosis?
I don't know, can you? Only you can know if you have a problem. We can't determine that for you.
What do you think?
