Is it possible to C/T W/D at home from 900mg of Oxycodone a day?

Things have gotten so out of control for me in the last month ... I knew I had a problem when I was taking 240mg of Oxycontin a day .... but for the past month I have been taking anywhere between 900mg and 1200mg of Oxycontin and Roxicodone's a day ( Never less than 900mg a day ) .... Can this be done on my own at home?? or do I have to go in the Hospital?  Any help would be greatly appreciated

Welcome and congratulations for taking the first step.  I'm not a Dr., but the amount your taking is alot.  If you have a Dr. you can consult I think it would be in your best iterest.

I haven't been on here long, and don't recall having read too much about Subutex or Suboxone, but I have friends that were on super high doses and went to treatment centers and were detoxed with little discomfort using that Medication.

I don't know a whole lot about it, but I live in the Bay Area in California and there is a treatment facility here that puts people on a 7-10 day detox using Suboxone.  There are also Dr.'s that are independently licensed to do it.  Kaiser even has a program for it, but for some reason they keep people on it for quite awhile.

I don't know why the length of time varies, but I have heard that if your on the Sub too long you can become addicted to that too.

I am using a taper to get off of  Lortab 10s 10 a day. Not at your dose but I think the same will apply. First of all the fact that you came here is the most important step. I found good advice and motivation here. I found that the taper is working for me. I cut my dose at first to a level that didnt get me stoned but could still feel the effects and then went to work on the mental issuse. It all comes down to if you want to get well you will. Every time you cut the dose is a nother victory. It took me 3 yrs to get here so if I take a month or two to get well so be it. I spend alot of time here reading the post of others and take from each one. The advice is good and truthful. 100 mgs a day now 37.5 a day
I know  I will make it and you can too.
