Is this normal or am I just lucky?

I have been on a methodone program for 10+ years.  I never intended to be on that long but before I knew it here I was.
I tapered down to 12mg and drank my last dose 7 days ago.  I am on my 6th day without and really haven't felt all that bad. I know how I should be feeling I've kicked herion cold more times than I want to remember.
Is this the "calm before the storm" or did I just get lucky this time around??

Hi I was on methedone for over 12yrs and the other opiates before this. I have heard alot of people who have told me it was alot easier to come off the herion then the methedone, because the methedone lives in the body alot more then most of the other drugs. I think since you did a very long tapper It should go somewhat better. I went c/t off 30mgs with the aderral and a benzo. It was a long process for me...I am pround of you for doing this to get your life back..Most of us who used methedone call it the beast......You are welcome to PM me if you want to talk more of what it was like...But  I had those other ones to intense my w/d too. If you do stay here and are feeling funkie we can help you with the things to get you through some tuff spots..All of us had been there w/d wise....

Hi there ! Our bodies are all different and you may have very well dodged the bullet ! I was taking 30 mg. of hydro a day and had very little physical withdrawal symptoms . I remember I felt very lucky too . Congratulations on getting your life back .. Jimmy
