Hello, the mental part is the hardest, the huge key in a success to fighting this, is support, be it family , na / aa , but you must have support to help you thru the tough times. You need to want to change. suboxone and methadone do help people stop using, but the truth is they are 10x harder to come off of. The wds are worse and the time it takes to heal is alot longer. I was on methadone for 9 years, it took me so long to come off because i was afraid of the wds, but what i had to come to terms is , there is no way to escape them, i have been clean for 204 days now. I regret being on it for so long, but as most clinics no one educated me on how strong this drug was and how hard it would be to come off of it.
