I am happy to hear your working this kfred, hope the meetings and counselling is helping. Hope the methadone is short term like you say. Good to see you post and congrats on being vicodin free for over 2 months. Keep working it:)
Sorry to hear about the job but i am so glad you are vic free and attending counseling and meetings. Glad to hear you are still under a doctors care and that you have a plan for getting off of this. Your vic use was so high and i will be the odd one out here but i think this was a life saver and i mean a life saver. Keep us posted sara
I am glad you are still under a doctors care but I agree with everyone .I truly hope you get off the methadone as fast as you can because the longer you stay on it the harder it will be to come off it
I think it is so very sad that a doctor would give someone methadone to get off of vic's. methadone I think is one of the hardest drug's to kick. Please start to cut down on you're dose asap and I hope you have good luck finding another job stay strong..
I agree with mr lucky please try to get off the methadone as soon as you can. Try not to use it as a crutch. You are strong you can do this!!!! Sorry to hear about your job. What is the game plan are you going take a few weeks to just rest or are you sending resume out and job hunting right away? Where do you live and what do you do? Hang in there you are doing great!!! Dont feel so bad about taking methadone, your are not abusing it and you are not using your doc anymore so I say GOOD JOB WAY TO GO!!!

I'm sorry that you ended up on methadone from vicodin. It was designed for hard core junkies with multiple treatment failures who were going in and out of istitutions . Since you are on it you can use it as a bridge to drug free but I hope you will keep your dose low (as it is) and keep your treatment short so you don't have hell to pay. all the best
