Laurel and Hardy back on track !

Just a quick update.  We are both feeling better and seem to have our Suboxone dose figured out. Wish we could change doctors but she has all our money. lol  She has not called to see if we we are ok and when we called her she rushed us off the phone.  All doctors are not created equal.  We came to the conclusion we were getting to much in our stomachs. So my advise to anyone about to go on Sub ...do not do alot of swollowing while it's dissolving under your tongue. Keep your head forward and wipe saliva from your mouth.  This might not have been the problem but it is the only thing we could think that caused us both to be so sick to our stomachs, and the fact that we were not on the proper dose.  Thanks for all your concern and support.    mary (Laurel)

Feb 26th is my Suboxone appointment and it is all set up.  I also have an appointment with an addiction counsler for aftercare and to help with the reason i abuse and just help with my addiction in general.  He can also refer me to a DR in the same building that does the Sub and also is covered by my insurance. So if all goes well, I might even get on Sub sooner than the 26th and then just cancell that appointment and have the Sub DR and the addiction counsler in the same building working close togather on my progress.

Although that is not a for sure thing, I am just trying to be hopeful and stay positive about the whole situation. Very nervous, but also excited to be able to get back to doing normal day to day activities that abusing pills has taken away from me. Examples* Work, exersize, social life, not getting sick all the time with withdrawls, and so many other positive things to look forward to.. A big one is my fiancee being proud of me again that I will be able to control some aspect of my pain management.

Thanks guys for the support.  Yes, I'm pretty happy about how I'm feeling now.  The only real complaint I could say (other than doc. being a dingbat) is I don't like the little high I get from the Sub. I don't even know if I'd call it a high.  A slight fuzzy feeling. Really didn't want to feel any high at all. But it may just be another adjustment to the meds.
Thanks again, you all are so great,
Magi

I'll add to this,  anyone new to sub, make sure the pill disolves fully. Have something to drink right before taking the pill and wet the under side of your tongue. The instructions say 5-10 minutes to disolve, for me its more like 20 minutes.
