for sure go and get what goingtomakeit says...yes i had and still have bad legs and hands..some days its ok but others i can hardley walk they are shaking so bad..Hang in there!

Calcium, magnesium and potassium all help with muscles. Some here have bought a remedy at the health foods store and have had good success.

I didn't have any RLS during the day but I couldn't sleep b/c of it every night. I don't want to sound negative but it did take a couple of weeks for me (everyone is different). So did the insomnia. (For them to get better, I mean)
Initially, it drove me crazy, then I just stopped trying to sleep when I couldn't and enjoyed the extra hours. I was sleepy a lot during the day but I was able to function ok and made sure that I didn't sleep at all during the day. I went from 3 hours of sleep to now sleeping 9 hours last night.
I was like you, I didn't want to trade one pill for another but I did use some of the aminos and some melatonin. Now I don't need anything and the sleep is fine.
Be patient, try not to worry and your body will regulate itself in not too much time...
