Let's Give It Up For The Dig @ 400 Days!!!!
Greetings & A Lovely Evening To Each & Every MH'er ! :)
I'm posting this a couple hrs. early, as Digger1976 will be waking for work shortly & his 400th day opiate & benzo-free has already Dawned over there in the North of the Old Country. We managed to miss his 1 year. So, I figured it might be nice to recognize this Milestone & Celebrate his Struggle, Hard work & general 'Diggerness'
Dig, me ole' mucker, you Done it, you Done it & You're Still Doing it! I know that if someone had told you 430 days ago that you'd soon be kicking & would remain clean for over a year that you would have found it hard to credit & would probably have scared the wits out of you to boot. You've pulled yourself up out of the streets of a tough town, left the 'institutions' & old mates behind while kicking a couple of rough, rough drugs. Even more impressively, you've managed to maintain through a year of serious emotional readjustment & sleeplessness.
I want to take this opportunity to Thank You for your Friendship & Support from the first. You've a special place in my heart (as you know) & I'm honored to have been (& to continue to be) a part of your journey. You've come sooo far in just about every respect. Today, I want to celebrate the 'All' of You: Charm, Humor, Intelligence, Grit & Generosity. You may not be on here too much these days but you're off working on your life which is just as it should be. Well, Done You!! (And so say all of us:)
I invite your extended virtual family to jump in and stop me from rambling before I embarrass you further. (Guys, Feel Free to add to my list of adjectives..I left a couple out. Prizes will be distributed according to order of posting new ones):)

You have NO IDEA how much laughter and love you have brought to SO many of us on this forum, Dig. It's been pure delight to travel this road with you. You told someone the other day that "you have to stay patient and embrace it" and that's just EXACTLY what you did.
From living under a bridge a few years back to now being a leader of 5/6 teams at work SHOWS how recovery works if we want it bad enough, eh?
Though I have a sense of humor, I have a tendency to become too serious at times....and many days, just when I needed it most....you'd bop your head in here and make me giggle outloud! I love that about you, Dig!

First off a big thank you! NO! a massive THANK YOU!!! to each and everyone of you...
I must admit when I woke this am (6am no less!), drinking my first (of many) coffee's and found a hint and directions to this on my phone, I sat with celebratory tears of happiness in my tired red eyes, lol<(sorry PJ, ha!) Its been a long time since I sat and pondered how far I have come and the amount of hurdles I've leaped (kicked, looked upon with great anger, kicked again for good measure, thrown over the fence and buried, [only to go dig it back up to make sure it's still where it belongs, beneath me!!!] ha!) and it made me so very happy, I jumped off the pot, pulled my strides up (in case IBK was hiding somewhere, ;)) then tripped over the dog, tumbled a$$ over t!t straight down the stairs only to land sure footed with added jazz hands and a big a$$ grin on my palette, hahaha! Well that didn't happen really, but we can pretend, eh? ;) No in all seriousness I was so overwhelmed by the love and support, and the very generous words, made my day so it did!
@ Weaver??? You crack me up and the dog poop revenge story was to funny, haha! Thanks bro, you always amaze me and I too have learned so much from you, thank you for everything my good friend, truly! ;)

Congrats Digger on your 400 days. I missed your big posting days having been absent much from the forum for a year out living my life. Since returning I always love to read a post from you. I can tell you're a solid guy with a great sense of humour, which, IMO is the best tool you can have in life.
I hope we get to know each other more in this awesome MH family and I wish you a million more days of awesome clean time and joy.

Way to Go Dig!!! I knew YOU had it in you! Yep! It seems like most of us on here get some time behind us and start living our NEW Life. It has been a blessing to watch you grow in your Recovery. YOU just amazed me right from the start. You did all the right things and got right into doing some good things for yourself. I miss our conversations on here, but like I said we have or own life to live too!! Keep it up my friend and keep stepping forward one foot at a time..lol

Dig, I remember laughing at something you said, don't remember what, but you reminded me that I lost my sense of humor. So, I started practicing quit a bit and got some laughs too. I don't know if I mentioned that in the last 400 days, but you helped me in a really huge way. Thanks for that and for being you. I truly appreciate you as a person buddy, so glad you are free today.
