Fast Detox

I see the banner at the top of the page and i was wondering if anyone has tried the fast detox?  Their is a treatment center here where i live that says they you only have to stay 5 to 7 days and then its all out patient.  I guess that would go on your record and then your marked for life.  I just wish i was as strong as those on here that have stopped at home.  My hats off to all of you that have done it.

I have just got to get this pain under control and then i want to stop too.  I really think i can do it if i was just not in so much pain.  I guess i will find out in a couple of weeks after i go through another battery of test starting next week.  From what i am hearing i have found the best nurosurgeon in my area and he is not supposed to be knife happy either but will get to the root of the problem.  Again my hat is off to all of you that have quit at home on your own.

Rapid detox is very dangerous and very costly .Like 7,000 to 10,000 Grand. If you ever want to know ore about it I have a article in my journal about it .Take a look.

I was watching something on MTV true life....I think it was, and they had Dr. Waismann on the show doing the process.  His facility is located here very close to me.  I have heard really bad things about rapid detox.  My sister is a nurse and she saw a lot of that going on when she first started out and quit because she did not like what she saw and felt it was not ethical the way they were doing things.  That being said.......I saw Dr. Waisman doing his thing and it was interesting.  They have to put you under and that is always a risk......they periodically clean out the receptors so to speak.  I forget how long it took, but watching this person going thur this kind of forced induced withdrawal was frightening ........there are risks involved with the procedure, but as anything....its a personal choice.  The person who did this on the show is still clean  today from a pretty nasty Oxy habit.  The only reason he says he is clean still to this day is that he had to remove everyone from his life who was associated with drugs.......Dr. Waismann's facility is located here in Tustin California.......If he was doing it.......I would probably go for it, but if it were his associates or done in a mental facility .....where it is often done......Forget it !!!!

Good luck to you.

I had cancer surgery years ago and took the chemo and now it is causing my body to build up bone spurs and i have scar tissue on my lower spine.  The dr told me my lower spine is rubbing bone on bone too.  I think i have found a dr that can help me.  I am going though another bunch of tests next week so they can get updated info.  I don't take much but i have been switched around from one pain killer to another.  I am back on 2 to 3 hydros a day and they seem to be working but i have gone like 4 days without over the last 3 to 4 weeks trying to ween myself down to nothing but the pain gets me everytime.  I checked out Avis's journal and you have some good stuff in there.  I bought the amino's off the internet and when i get my answers to the pain i will use them to stop.  Thanks for your replies.

I would thinking his marketing people are saying it can happen to any of us.  There is a sherriff in my state that had back pain and he said from the first pill it had him and when he got caught he was on 12 to 15 a day.  We are not above this problem and it affects all walks of life.  Because we all have pain at one time or another.
