Male sure your healthy, prior to detox.

I am so,so much better today! Last week I went to a follow up Dr,s appointment, & had some blood drawn & got a call back that I am anemic!  I,ve had problems & issues with this in the past so it didnt come as a surprise, its associated with female stuff, & if your a female I think you can put two and two together? But what was shocking was how bad its gotton, my ferritn levels at a 4, which is way to low, so the cure is simple, I must take two iron pills per day. Im also underweight, by only 5 pounds, during my taper I,ve lost 15 pounds, so I really must start taking better care of myself. So anyway I just wanted to share this with everyone, as I now understand why a few days ago I was feeling so weak, & almost faint. I also went to a vitamin store & bought some expensive vitamins that are time released & have magnesium & all the stuff your body loses during a detox. I mainly wanted to share with everyone how important it is to be in proper health during a detox, especially off methadone, as many health issues, no matter how big or small, can mimic withdrawal & play a huge roll in how your detox goes. Im happy I went to the doctor & glad I found out about the anemia, I mean I couldnt imagine in another 15 days how awful I would have felt? Now I have all my bases covered. Penelope.                   P.S Feohmoon, How ya doing? I do believe that today is your 1st day without methadone? I hope you are doing ok?

I have low iron too and ive had it in the past.  taking 2 iron pills is gonna shock your body and that can cuz constipation that is very hard (no pun intended) to deal with.  take some stool softner or something like it with your iron or you will be hurting.  Hope it wasnt an over share, I just wanted to let you know about it since it is very painful.

Good morning Penelope!  So glad to hear you found out what was causing you discomfort!  You are absolutely right about making sure your body is healthy prior to detox.
We slept in a little later than usual today.  We are experiencing some chills/sweats...but we slept well and are drinking some CalMag now.
Now that we are not dosing at the clinic anymore, we are anxious to see just how long these drinks will hold off these feelings.  We will keep you posted.
Thanks so much for checking on us!  We hope you have a great day and enjoy yourself...you deserve it.
