I am soooo sorry you are having this much trouble... I remember in those early days I had alot of sleep issues too... but if you keep adding meds to the issue you could hurt yourself... mixing some of the meds you are talking about could bring on respiratory distress and you surely don't want that to happen... I will be perfectly honest with you and some will dissagree with me.. I felt myself relying on my faith more than anything through those times .. I prayed soooo many nights for God to please just give me a little rest ... any would be wonderful... as many have said .. sleep will come you can't stay awake forever.... have you tried listening to soothing music in a dark room.. that sometimes worked for me too... I have also said a prayer for you and have asked that God would give you the rest you so desperately need...
I think the longer you stay on ambien the longer you will have sleeping issues. Its addictive so if you want your body and mind back dont use it. I never heard of bevzo . Is it like valium or what. I know they give trazodone in rehab. It has worked for me.
Exercise if very important. I started on the 3rd day or so it hurt, but I had to start working the chemicals out of my system. Get you heart rate up and work it . Too many folks sit around thinking negative things. This will be the hardest thing you ever did but the most rewarding thing for you and your family.
I prayed alot too. Mostly just help me God in the beginning. I'm praying for you too, right now.
I have a prescription for 50 mg. Trazadone to be taken at night works great, a little it makes me a little drozy feeling but like all drugs please ask your doctor for the script and the amount to take all sleep aids and this is also used for depression and pain so becareful you can overdose on anything.. Please do not use benadryl in any for to bring on sleep, it has the tendency to raise your heart palpultations, I know this only due to an accident at work having an allergic reaction and huge reaction because an ex nursing assistant went to the drug store for me to get benydryl, well she came back with children liquid. She told me to take two big gulps which I did and it almost killed me, they had to call my husband (should have called ambulance) to take me home, my heart was racing so fast I could hardly breath I felt like I was tripping, all I could do was to keep my head down on my desk to he got there.
You're not gonna like my answer but patience is the only solution.
We are all very impatient to come back to normal even if we have been abusing meds for months or even for years. I know all too well how sleep deprivation can be completely debilitating but give time to your brain to function w/o anything.
The chemistry in your brain has to re-wire. Don't fall in the trap yet again and pop a pill to help you sleep.
You might try melatonin, which is natural and hit the gym to pump up your endorphines.
Best of luck to you. sophie.
i take trazadone50mg. its amazing. no matter waht it will make u sleep. better that anything else i have ever tried to sleep.
Stay away from any stimulants. coffee, tea, soda that contains caffeine, try to get a lot of exercise. I've heard that burning sage has a calming effect. You can take up to 150mg of Trazadone a night. If you're not taking that much, ask you Dr. if he/she will up it. You might want to try that. really Hot baths will relax you and make your body tired.
