I doubt withdrawals will occur from taking methadone for 3 days. I don't quite understand how much mg were taken each day with the way it was written but care needs to be taken with this drug. It is very powerful and many overdoses happen with people who don't understand the drug or how much they can safely take.
I'm going to read between the lines and assume your using it to get off of something else. It's just speculating without knowing all the facts, but if true, you would just be delaying the inevitable. It is possible it may ease it slightly, but more probable you will just go through the same process only 3 or 4 days later.
I agree with Stevo....sound to me like your looking for a get out of jail free card....methadone dont work that way you will probably feel fine for a few days but then the withdrawal from you DOC will hit....there is no beating the withdrawals............Gnarly
This is exactly what brought me to this site to research. My sister was given this same regime of Methadone in a detox facility for 3 days for a VERY HEAVY vicodin addiction. It surely helped her with W/D symptoms at first and she felt great day 4 when she got home but by days 5 and 6 she felt like crap for about a week..... not sure if it was the Methadone or the Vicodin W/D kicking in but something wasn't right......
I went through 6 days of detox also for a heavy Vicodin addiction and they gave me Tramadol... it eased the W/D symptoms for the 6 days I was there, but went through a HELL of a time for about 2 weeks after that detoxing from the Tramadol........
Hope this helps to answer some of your questions...... yes, I think you can experience withdrawals after being on some of these "detox helpers" even if only for a few days !!!
GOOD LUCK !!!
Purple~ This question was answered many times, in your other 2 threads, in the last 24 hours...
How is he doing today?
Absolutely not, u will not go through withdrawals from taking methadone for only 3 days. It sounds like day 1 u took 20 then 15 and 10 the 3rd day. As everyone else has said u are only putting off the inevitable. One u can't detox someone in 3 days on methadone u can't even stabilise a dose in 3 days. What ever it is u are coming off of u need to just do it believe me a methadone habit is A LOT harder to kick then vic's, oxies etc... Do what u have to, to get through this be positive its not easy but u can do it. The people on here are very helpful and will support you. You will do just fine there is a light at the end of the tunnel!! GOOD LUCK!!
