Hi alot depends on how long you where on it if it was a few years it may take a wile to get well I was on it almost 7yr and it took a good 90 days to start to feel like myself again some get over it quicker but with methadone it usually take around 3 days for it to start then the physical part last about 10 days to 2 weeks then its the lack of sleep and energy crash that takes over just keep pushing threw it every day clean is a victory good luck and God bless...........Gnarly

It normally takes any addict 3 months to fully feel 100 percent again after withdrawal, but I felt better after 8 days and stopped withdrawal. My energy fluctuates everyday, I still haven't got it back yet, but I was using heroin for 15 years and then subutex for almost 2 years at 32mg daily which is extremely high. So you won't know how you feel till you feel it.

Hi, I can't answer sorry, I never had a problem with methadone. But 2 is very low compared to 200mg. Good on you for lowering your dose to 2. You may still have withdrawal but how extreme or not all depends on your body. Just get Clonidine and valium and take them together only when you absolutely have to, and don't use the meds any longer than 10-14 days. And only use when you do decide to withdrawal. Go lower if possible with your methadone before stopping.  People say the lower the less withdrawal. The doc will give you clonidine and valium no problem, if you tell him what it's for, but I would only take 2.5mg valium with 50mg  clonidine, I took them every 4 hours for 3 days, then once a night, I only needed the meds for 8 days. Double check with your doc this will work for you. He may want you to do something different. Best of luck to you.
