Methadone withdrawals

I detoxed off methadone via suboxone, at a detox hospital, a week and a half ago and am still having awful side effects. The worst is feeling lethargic and not being able to do anything - I just have zero energy. Is this normal?? When will it end??
I also had pneumonia in the middle of the detox that might be attributing to this but just not sure. Any help would be appreciated.

U have done well..u should be proud as u have kicked 2 heavy duty drugs...to me 16 mgs of sub is scarier than 22 mgs of methadone..but u have conquered both
the lethargy is sumpin i felt after kickin 100 mgs of hydro for 5 yrs..mosre on many days..it lasted for a few months..exercise and tyrosine helped me the most...the thomas recipe rox and if u r in the tired phase then tyrosine can help kick in ur dopamine production which is most often what causes the fatigue...powdered form is great mixed in EmergenC from walmart..powdered tyrosine can be found at Bulk nutrition online
My fatigue is almost what did me in as i have a busy life and like it that way..when i started turning into a couch potato..i almost relapsed....it was depressing to say the least..rocket shot to get me out the door to work...after that i was worthless cept to stay home and wilt..felt i was losing my life
I had to change sumpin...so looked at the recipe again and upped my tyrosine to 2000 mgs a day divided into 2-3 doses with Emergenc...went to the gym whether i felt like it or not...my dr put me on provigil short term and it also helped....upped my meetings to daily..I had to work and i had to get moving as my job is physical being a nurse...it worked and i made it
u will too!

I was on 22.5 methadone when I went in and started on 16 suboxone, I dropped slowly at the start and then after pneumonia went from 12 to 8 to 4 to 2 to 0 each day. So, it may be a combination of both I guess. I went to the doctors to try and get something for the awful withdrawal symptoms but he couldn't help me. I have an appointment with my addiction dr tomorrow so hopefully he can help. This opiate dependence is a *****. It starts so innocently mostly for pain and then all of a sudden you take more and more and more until you know you are so sick you need help. Then the detox is a worse nightmare.

I was taperring from methadone, in the middle of that I got pnemonia for a month and was real weak after that so maybe that might have alot to do with it.

Are you still on suboxone?  I helps if you give more info. Like how long you used methadone how many mgs.  How many mgs of sub are you on now for how long do you expect to be on it.
It takes some time to recover.  There are other peeps here that know more about methadone withdrawal and sub.  Griz is one he (or she??)  should be around soon , was yesterday.

CONGRATS ON YOUR CLEAN TIME!!!!
