Using methadone to get off of subutex is too ironic for me to take seriously. My experience( which is the more common method) with suboxone was to use it to help detox off of methadone and here you are trying to do the reverse. To be honest, once you develop a dependancy to either methadone or subutex/suboxone there is little difference in the intensity or the duration of the expected withdrawals. I would encourage you to persevere and try to taper down the subutex rather than introducing a new drug into the equation.
I wish you all the best. Kind regards Jeremy.
HI....you need to have your prescribing doctor work out a taper secedual for you
we have had good success with members jumping off at 2mg 2 different girls did it
and had little withdrawals stay away from the methadone it is not the way to go
good luck and God bless......Gnarly
i have been on suboxone for 21/2 years and for the last few months I have been trying to ween off. It is a hard drug to get off of please be prepared if your not you will not make it. You will have some withdrawal it's different for everyone. Do your research. Are you getting them from a doctor? If so have you told him you want off.
