last of the day

I have gotten to the point today where I'm having trouble working. The worse is yet to come. I don't know if I can hide this from my boss much longer. He use to be a friend, now he's just a mean drunk. Telling him the truth is not an option. This will give him a real reason to yell at me. I thought today he would have seen I was sick but he didn't. I can only imagine what tomorrow will bring.

He probably won't be back in the office today and I can do most of my work from home. I just don't want to lie to him about leaving early but what the heck I have been lying about other things.

If I have to be sick I would rather be at home, with my own bathroom.

No truer words where ever said. I know that. Just trying to get clean.

I know this is easier said than done, but maybe it's time to look for a new job. I have worked in positions where I was not given the respect that I deserved and it can take it's toll both mentally and physically. Leaving the known for the unknown is scary, but sometimes it aids in our growth and overall happyness.

My boss just yelled at me once again. So my plan is to work until I drop. Which may be coming soon. Don't worry it will be heard around the world lol. I have to put some humor in this.

I wouldn't confide in your boss.  But you'll definitely need a cover.  We all use the flu, and sometimes flu relapse if we have to.

I'm not sure how far into the detox or taper you are, but it's only Monday and you need a weekend off real bad.

What is your plan?

Thanks for your imput. I take the bus home it's just a 10 minute ride. It's hot where I'm at and I hate sitting there sweating because I always just miss the bus (the story of my life) I'm in so fla. There is no escaping the heat.

Sad thing is I can't confide in my boss. He will be even worse than he already is.

It's got to be really tough to go through this and work, AND keep it from the boss.

I say don't tell him.  He has a drinking problem, but that okay and legal in his mind.  If he's always screaming at you, then he's just a pr*ck and won't be understanding.

I remember trying to do paperwork in my second week and had to triple check my work.  I usually got it right by the second check, but didn't trust myself so checked again.

Be careful if you drive home. Driving is scary in detox.  Coordination just isn't there.
