Please help...7 days off percocet

I shattered my elbow a year and half ago. I started taking 30mg of percocet a day for pain and healing. That lead into a year strong addiction of taking over 150mg of perc a day. I finally decided to quit a few weeks ago and instead of tapering with what I had left I did over 200mg a day for seven days than quit. I took 20 mg of methadone for a 3 days and than ten for two days and 5mg of methadone for one day. It has been 7 days off percocet and two days without done. My legs ache like nothing before and my body is just out of whack and cant sleep. Has anyone quit on here and how many days until I start feeling normal? Thanks for any help or advice one might have. It has helped just reading eveyrones post. At least I am not alone:(

Good deal you should be o.k soon but the methadone in your case didnt do anything but prolong your situation merely kept opiate in your system to keep you from feeling withdrawls at what ever level 3 days of methadone isnt gonna do anything for anyone.Methadone is a maintenence drug for herion addicts.Methadone merely stops some of the withdrawl and blocks all entry of narcotics to the brain. You sound like your in day two if you quit methadone two days ago sorry to be bearer of bad news but you got a couple of days to go,hey hang in there, and stay away from  pain killers,If I could only stress the facts to you your headed for being a pawn on a substances table, and it can very well keep you in check all the time.I am 50 yrs old and am on Suboxone for oxycontin abuse, and I feel like a lillte scared Rat in a maze full of rabid cats.GO smoke a blunt if you must get high stay away from killers!!!!Has anybody heard from the little dude that had the suboxone last night is he o.k.I cant believe someone would give a 18 yr old school age man a suboxone! What a piece of chit.

I have never heard from someone who used methadone is such a short period at reduced dosages like that.  I am sure there is a whirlwind of things going on with your nervous system.  I am thinking you will not Wd from the methadone too much since it was such a short blast, but not sure where your WDs from the pills will pick up.

Ultimately, it will be a matter of just paying the piper and leaving it all alone.  It took me much longer than it should have to realize that.  I was looking to try and beat the system or get around the troll at the bridge to clean living.  I realized that this no way easy way out or some of these very intelligent and resourceful addicts would have found it by now.
