Thanks for all your help and taking the time to research something that you're not familiar with, as I am from the UK. I'm taking the advice of reducing and Salsinator you're completely right 30mg of codeine that is dissolved in water and ive been taking a lot for a long time. Theeagle you're right too it's just the same as taking illegal opiate the result is the the same - I guess ive been living in denial. Thanks jossysmom for confirming Im in the right place and Bluespence for responding when I was at one of my lowest.
Recovery is so fragile and being clean for me is the only way I can really look at this, ive got a few rough days, nights ahead but it the price I'm willing to pay for true freedom of addiction. Too all those I write with gratitute.
I hope you are still here because you ARE in the right place....hope to hear from you soon...Congratulations on your clean time from H...Well done!!
Solpodol are the same as co-codamol.......you are taking a lot of codeine , Bud - - Just how do you figure that you do not have an opiate problem still? Treat it the same way you did the smack - - its about the same thing......Its causing the same problems, isnt it?
You must be in Europe because I have not heard of Solpodol here in the stated. I did some research on this and the reason you feel withdrawal from this medication is because it contains 30mg codeine, which is the same dose that is contained in Tylenol 3. It is just as addicting as any other opiate and if you have been taking this for the amount of time you have indicated, then it is probably certain that you are dependent. Sorry to break this news to you. The information that I read indicated that this was effervesent, or disolved in wanter. Can you break the tablets and taper down the dose? Can you spread out the time inbetween doses? Don't stop cold turkey if you have been taking for years, try and taper and see how that works for you. I am sure others will chime in as well. Good luck
Oh well I this isnt place for me. I wish you all well and hope you get the support you need.
I am not familiar with this med..but I am responding so the post will go back up top! I hope you get the answers you need!
