Looking for alittle help

Hi, I came off heroin a few years ago (without the help of rehab but little help from a perscribing agency) using subutex, and without the the understanding or guidance around addition to other kind opiate based drugs like Solpodol. As I now know foolishly swapping Solpodol to get through all the little twinges of pain I felt. I now find Im addicted to them, and suffering all the mental stuff of being dependant on a substance e.g. depression, anger, guilt shame etc. Now I find this has become a reality again.

I would like to know how I can off these Solpodol as im suffering both physically, mentally and spiritually.

I been taking them for about 6 years - maybe couple more I can't really remember when but I certanly know at the moment if I stop I start withdrawal not as horrifc a opiate withdrawal but I certainly have gone so far in too find out.

I would like to know the best way to become free from this substance and if I can do it without further medical intervention.  I dont take anti depressant but in my low moods they are becoming appealing. I've been involve with 12 step fellowships but feel because Im not addicted to an opiate or cocaine I dont belong there anymore. I'm really begining to isolate more and more, cant face going out the door and seeing people and have lost any zest for life and I'm sinking into depression and despair.

I need to make a change and start asking for help again but I don't how or where.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks for listening.

Thanks for all your help and taking the time to research something that you're not familiar with, as I am from the UK. I'm taking the advice of reducing and Salsinator you're completely right 30mg of codeine that is dissolved in water and ive been taking a lot for a long time. Theeagle you're right too it's just the same as taking illegal opiate the result is the the same - I guess ive been living in denial. Thanks jossysmom for confirming Im in the right place and Bluespence for responding when I was at one of my lowest.
Recovery is so fragile and being clean for me is the only way I can really look at this, ive got a few rough days, nights ahead but it the price I'm willing to pay for true freedom of addiction. Too all those I write with gratitute.

Solpodol are the same as co-codamol.......you are taking a lot of codeine , Bud - - Just how do you figure that you do not have an opiate problem still?  Treat it the same way you did the smack - - its about the same thing......Its causing the same problems, isnt it?

You must be in Europe because I have not heard of Solpodol here in the stated.  I did some research on this and the reason you feel withdrawal from this medication is because it contains 30mg codeine, which is the same dose that is contained in Tylenol 3.  It is just as addicting as any other opiate and if you have been taking this for the amount of time you have indicated, then it is probably certain that you are dependent.  Sorry to break this news to you.  The information that I read indicated that this was effervesent, or disolved in wanter.  Can you break the tablets and taper down the dose?  Can you spread out the time inbetween doses?  Don't stop cold turkey if you have been taking for years, try and taper and see how that works for you.  I am sure others will chime in as well.  Good luck
