No Amitripyline or Ambien

Well, I didn't take the amitriptyline or ambien last night, just otc pm med. I went to sleep at about 1:30 and woke up at 4:00 I felt really good but I took 2 more pm's . I didn't want to get up that early because I didn't want to get sleepy when hubby got up. I didn't go back to sleep till 6:30. I got up at 8:30. I'm real good mentally but my feet hurt so bad. Do I need to start my clean time over since I took ambien and amitriptyline? They are drugs

I eat it "every which way but loose"...hahahaha!

Sangwiches...unhuh.....but when I was early in recovery and could hardly stand up very long...I would just put some on a plate....add some Baby Swiss Cheese (same Prima Della brand)...slice it or roll it up...add some mustard...or maybe some horseradish....or maybe a mayo/mustard mix....or some ranch dressing....hahahaha!  And then just shove it in my mouth....using romaine lettuce and doing a roll up/wrap is cool too.

I have a new lb of each in my fridge.....are you jealous yet???  lmao

I love the peppered turkey - totally DELISH!  Has that yummy flavor you would typically get from pastrami, but so much better for you.  And besides, do people even eat pastrami anymore?  lol

I know what I'm picking up at the store tomorrow!  ha :)

Thanks Done!! I love cherries and crackers. I just hate the hopeless feeling I get every time I start to fall asleep. It snaps me wide awake. It's not as bad since I haven't had the ambien or amitriptyline. I feel like if I get a few more days without it I'll be okay. Thank you for the info. God Bless, hope you have a peaceful night

Oh, and I just saw yet another article about certain foods we can eat that help promote sleep, and cherries was top on the list. The bing/tart cherries you can buy in the produce section - apparently, they contain tryptophan, along with bananas.  And cereal and / or crackers is also supposed to be good at night time as well.

Just a few more natural remedies to try!

Try melatonin instead.  And a hot shower before bed, dark room is important for the melatonin to take effect.  But please don't take that much of this PM med again.  It can be dangerous! (just looking out for you!)

Oh, and the "now now now" thing - I'm pretty sure that an addict's mantra... I want it NOW NOW NOW... lol... and you know what trouble that kind of thinking can lead to.. at least I know I do !

Hang in there.. eventually your body will just fall asleep naturally. Frustrating, I know, but it will.

Tooter - be careful with the OTC sleep meds.  Those PM meds (Tylenol, Advil) made me super jittery and didn't help with sleep at all, and the RLS was the worst.  And it sounds like you took 4 over one night, is that right?  That's too much even if they don't cause these symptoms for you!  Please be careful!!  :)

I don't remember when I took the last ambien. I'll have to look it up. I just ordered the cream. It will take about a week to get it. Walmart didn't have it. Hubby got me some other kind and it didn't work. The amitriptyline was to get me off of the ambien. Last night was the first night without it. I'll look up the ambien. God Bless

Tooter you can have more than one tracker honey one for the pain med and you can make one for the ambien. I have one and it is for pain meds. I would think those are completely different drugs so you could start the ambien tracker for the last time you took the ambien and keep your pain med tracker going? Sometimes it takes a little longer to come off of one. Alot of others have more than one tracker. That is great that you didn't have to take the ambien last night! :) have you tried the cream? If so does it help?
