hi .....well if you get fed op and want to do it quick C/T is the way to go it is a little intense but like ripping a bandaid off it gets the job done faster the tapering......you can expect about 4 orv 5 days of flu like symptoms then your free off the physical symptoms the mental ones can take a wile ...I always say this is 1/3 physical and 2/3 mental so be ready to fight it out on both fronts this is truly a battle one or lost in ones own mind you will find this is all about attitude every morning you wake up look in the mirror and decide what kind of day your going to have your symptoms will have you in the dumper you have to overcome tihs with a positive attitude it is the single thing you can bring to the table that wil make a huge difference it littlerly makes the difference between suffering and discomfort remember to force the fluids and a hot soak gose a long way in releaving the symptoms keep in mind this is only temporary and you will start to feel better the key here is to realize this is just the beginning aftercare is critical to getting better long term
both N/A and A/A ofer free programs if 1 on 1 seams beter to you there are addction therapists and substance abuse conslors to help personally the meeting have more to offer you will get to share as well as meet people that have been where you are going as well as those just starting out it helps to meet people and will strengthen your recovery as I often say you need to meet new persons places and things that dont remind you of using there is no better plase then mettings I wish you well on your journey if your willing to go outside your comfort zone you will make new clean and sober friends this will really help your recovery good luck and God bless.......Gnarly

Thanks so much for your input. Very true about the 1/3 physical-2/3 mental.

I should have been more specific with my question.

I went through Rehab in April for:Norco, Soma, xanex, and Ambien. Took them for over 10 years.  Went through the original detox symptoms.

Question is how much longer will I have remaining symptoms; GI problems, Can't sleep and anxiety. It's been over 3 months and I am still physically not right.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Everyone is different, and will have w/d symptoms for different amounts of time.

Depends on the person, how much and how often you were taking, whether you taper or go c/t... a lot of factors.

How much and how often were you taking?
