Oxycodone and Im pregnant.

I just found out yesterday I'm about 7 weeks pregnant. I had been taking Oxycodone up until yesterday (I'm was taking for a back injury) Did I stop taking it in time? I am just very worried about it.

Hi. Were you taking your medications as prescribed? Have you been taking them for a long enough period where you experience physical symptoms/acute discomfort when you stop taking the oxycodone? Are you asking whether you stopped in time to avoid withdrawals for the baby or are asking if you stopped in time to avoid some kind of abnormality. As the other posters have suggested the best thing for you and your baby is to discuss these questions with a doctor.
The only thing i would add ( and i really hope i dont get in trouble for this) is that if you do have a legitimate Rx and only take them as presribed, i would keep taking them until you have consulted with a doctor. Where a physical dependance has developed, immediate cessation of narcotic painkillers can be more detrimental for the foetus than continuing to take them as prescribed. Please take care and make plans to consult with a doctor asap.

Regards Jeremy

I agree I had to stay on it so the baby didn't go through withdrawls.   Be honest with the dr they will help you and the baby
