Post drug anxiety 2 weeks later

Ive been taking ecstasy for 6 years now and generally have never had bad comedowns - just a bit of scatteredness and maybe anxiety for a few days after.
However 2 weekends ago I had a couple of ecstasy pills and a tripstasy pill(mix of acid&mdma)and felt really scattered for a few days afterwards, then went out drinking 3 nights later and spent the next week drunk or stoned every night - I think this was partly so to cover up the anxiety.Ive been sober the past 2 days and have been really edgy, depressed and anxious. Do you think this could just be because I didnt really give my body a chance to rest or detox? Will it go away?Has anyone else experience anxiety 2 weeks after having drugs?I think the fact that I havent had this before is also making me even more anxious and scared.
What do suggest I do?Apart from obviously stay off drugs and alcohol for a while.
Please help

Hey,

I think what you're experiencing is likely due to diminished serotonin(the drug that ecstasy releases) in your brain along with dehydration and probably a lack of rest. Anxiety is a typical symptom for a lot of people after the use of e, especially when you're using mixes...I've noticed that it tends to go away after a few days of rest, proper eating and lots of water...in a sense it's like building your system back up and allowing the chemical imbalance in you brain, caused by the e to correct itself. I wouldn't worry too much about it...and although i know you won't quit until you're ready, but I'm telling you that the more often you use e, the harder the comedowns become. Anyways...watch this thing on youtube...she suggests some good ways to help regulate your body chemistry...

I don't mean to undermine your problem here..but it really sounds like you are on a road to disaster..obvoiusly you should not be doing ecstasy/tripstasy..and drinking etc..and for 6 yrs? what do you expect from your body??
A friend of mine did have this happen after she took ecstasy and she had some serious problems after..and it scared her enough to never do it again..
Hopefully it will go away but nobody can tell you that for sure.
The only thing that anyone would suggest is to stop doing ecstasy..This forum is a wonderful place to come for support when you are ready to help yourself..we will stand behind you..good luck..
