Percacet Addiction- Will I ?

I am having surgery December 8th for deviated septum and throat surgery my doctor said he is going to give me percocet if I only take it for 4 days and follow only what the doctor prescribes will I get addicted? I have never had addictions to anything but my love for Pepsi.  I have even gone of antidepressents slowly with no problems,  Two people in my life are telling me my life is over once I take it, I dont want to suffer in severe pain but I dont want addiction either what should I do?

Four days or a month, as long as u take as directed will not get u addicted at all! addiction comes with abuse or long term use. so dont worry and dont allow urself to be in pain. it's fine after a surgery.

hes giving me 1 week worth but I told my mom to flush the pills after four days.  Thank-you!

You should be fine taking the percocet after surgery.  He is only giving you 4 days worth so that is good.  Your life wont be over.  Just stay in contact with your doctor and get well.
