Percocet addiction seeking addiction advice from professionals

Hi my Boyfriend who is almost 25 snorts Percocet which his mother openly gives him as a coping mechanism to deal with his stress.
He swears up and down he is not addicted to them but just likes the feelings is gives him. I am unsure of how often he snorts these pills even though he says he doesn't do it often, maybe once or twice a month. However, I am still very worried that this is a much more serious issue than he tries to get me to believe.
I’ve been doing a lot of research on the drug trying to figure out if this is a serious issue for his health and if this could explain where a lot of our relationship issues stem from.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
I have soo many unanswered questions.

I would bet it was more than twice a month.  I agree, you should be concerned.  It can and will become a HUGE problem.  People don't snort pills unless they want to get high.  There are many other coping mechanisms to deal with stress and snorting pills is not one of them.
It's really going to be hard to help him if he doesn't think it's a problem
I wish you all the best.  There is another forum called Living with an addict. You should check that out too.
Good luck.

You are concerned for your boyfriend. I am concerned for you. Why are you going out with a drug addict? There are lots of healthy men out there. You don't need to tie yourself to a sick one.

And don't waste your time trying to cure him. Mama is at his side.

You are smart to be suspicious.  Us addicts lie, steal, and keep things hidden from loved ones when we want to use.  The drug takes priority over everything else.  Even if it's twice a month, it's not a healthy coping mechanism and it's a slippery slippery slope we've all been down. He needs to stop or you need to move on. I'm sorry you're going through this.
