Percoset addiction

I'm currently taking percoset...have been for 3 years now. I need off of them. They are prescribed to me, as I have had chronic pain. There are days I dont think of taking them, but suddenly get violently sick and have to take some. Thats my reminder! I need help. I cant do rehab as I cant leave my family. What do I do?

Can you talk to your drs and tell them you want off? They should be able to help you and give you a taper plan to wean you off of them. They are your best bet.

As Lisa said above, a taper is good idea if you can stick to a plan...sounds like you can because you aren't consciously thinking about taking the meds.  I was on percocets as well and successfully tapered on my own and with the help from this site...

hey i know exactly what ur goin through right now cuz im dealin with the same exact thing i have been on percs for a lil over 2 years now and at first i was doin fine for like the first year then afta that i started figurin hey what ones more or one more till now im takin i think 12 a day and they are the percs 10/325 my point is i think i am goin to taper off or at least try i just need someone to tell me who to do it cuz im not quite sure but i have faith in u good luck and godbless
