Placebo or not?

I've been clean from benzo's and illegitimate opiates for nearly 2 years now but am currently detoxing from suboxone. I have been suffering crippling anxiety, I'm not depressed just thinking irrationally constantly. Anyway my doctor prescribed a really low dose of citalopram, I have only been on them 7 days but swear I'm feeling different, good different, giggly and less angry. Is this even possible or is just a placebo effect? I had a ridiculously hard drug issue for 6 years and understand when I feel a bit high and I'm struggling to understand why I feel like this from a drug that should not take effect until 14-28 days.

If you are feeling better & not experiencing side effects, why question it? Whether it is the effect of the AD or the power of your mind -- your desire to be well & get better --  It's a relief, right? I'd try to embrace it & not worry or second guess the blessing. Onwards & upwards on your journey to healing! :)
