Dude I can tell you from sad experience what will happen (sure lots of others can also). I was here back in June and got alot of help. Went thru the W/Ds and survived. Was on day 8 and feelin better. Tripped over my computer cord. Broke my laptop. Put me in a rotten mood. Left the house for a drive and wound up at a friends house. He had some 30s. Had a craving. Said wtf, one won't hurt. Did one and left with 20. 3 months later and I'm back in the same whole. Stocking up on gatorade and wishng I had never went on that fateful drive. Life is funny, no?

Glad to hear your just gonna chill and smoke. Good plan. Hope you stick with that plan. As for me, let the suffering begin.......AGAIN! Live and learn but I never learn. Damn.......

It is not worth it man.......I used to do that all of the time and each time you either end up getting anouther weeks worth and figure you will start fresh after they are gone....OR....you do get set back a day or two in regards to your withdrawals plus the guilt of relapsing that constantly pushes you to grab a handful and worry about it later....We all know what this is like and if you truly want to stop then one can only lead to two but none equals no chance of completely relapsing.  Trust me, I could dip my hand into a bowl of hydro's and have a great day but I refrain because I know that it will turn back time......And as we all know, time is of a plenty and it creaps by at a snail pace as we sit in agony......Hope this helps.....We are all where you are now, the only difference is saying NO!!!!

Are you still craving? Did you take that one pill? Remember, one is too many and a thousand is never enough. Let us know how you are.

When we're going through the physical wd's and feeling horrible it's easy to resolve never to touch any kind of opiate again.  It's only after the horrible feelings go away that the really tricky part of the addiction kicks in.  It seems like it kinda tries to trick us into using with thoughts like, "Now that I've been able to stop I'm no longer addicted so I can go ahead and take just a few".

The first few(many) times I stopped I really was thinking in the back of my mind that I was just going to get the using, "under control" by only using every couple of months, or just when I was on vacations, or only at Christmas etc...It doesn't work when you try it that way.

People who know say that quitting is easy, it's staying quit that's tough.

That's why aftercare is so helpful.

One good thing to keep in mind is that the longer you stay clean the less frequent the urges will be.  You're at a danger point right now being just at 14 days but things will gert easier if you push through it.

It wont affect you much with the physical part but the mind screwing you will be faced with will be the bad one.  Using isnt the answer, not even one.  I know this is tough but you can get thru this.  Get yourself busy, take a walk, clean, turn on the music.  Check into some aftercare.  Make you the No.1 priority and do whatever it takes to protect your clean time.......sara

and what will you do next time you have cravings ? you will have them and you can not go for a pill to overcome them, this is addictive behaviour and the behaviour we must stop... you can overcome them , just don't cave in :) Go for a walk, stay busy, set your mind in a more positive frame of mind that you can do it, you are stronger than those cravings, get rid of any pills you may have.... having them is like calling the devil to pop in.... go for aftercare to learn the tools and how to deal with our addictive behaviour :)

Look at it this way...If you take one it will probably satisfy this one craving. Then what? Next craving...another pill? i think you know where that will lead.Try to figure out whats causing the cravings. In my experience The first one never started the horrible w/ds over. It hurt me more mentally than physically. I always ended up at square one though. Maybe not today or even a month from now. Stay away from that first one and you will be fine. You have went through too much to go backwards. Congrats on two weeks. Only we as addicts can appreciate how long that really is. Dont throw it away. Good luck..Keep fighting

Im not sure about it resetting your wds and all.. but im going through severe wds right now and im sure you did once before. So just ask yourself, is it worth even risking coming back to this horrible place? I just hope you don't give in to the cravings, try to have the strength to resist them and maybe look for something else in your life to occupy yourself or time with.. or something else to make you happy. I know that if I can ever get through what im going through right now, I won't ever want to risk anything that may possibly make me feel like this again.. (not saying I won't, because I think half of.. if not most of the battle of quitting opiate addiction is staying off the meds) Lets just try to stay strong and away from them.
