ok i dont mind. all of this hell started about a year and a half ago i was drivin home some guy turned in fron of me and i T boned him doin 55, it caused two herinated disks in my back and shattered my passengers foot. from there they started popin me full of pain meds. so my doctor started givin my 5/500 perks when those stoped workin i got 15mg roxycodones, when those stoped workin i got 30mg roxycodones i took about 10 a day of the 30s. then one day a friend brought over some heroin and i found that it was stronger and cheaper(i never used needels). then my wife caught me in the bathroom with foil in hand she was pissed, so i agreed to go on suboxone for the first time. i went to this doctor that put me on a 2week quit plan and i was supposed to quit at 2mg, yea that didnt work day 14 of the withdrawls i broke down and called my dealer. i used for another couple months, then eventually got caught smokin dope again. so once again i agreed to go back on suboxone this last time i was on it for about a month and a half. i started at 8mg a day for the first 2 weeks, then went to 4mg a day for a week, then 2mg a day for a week, then i cut the quarter into 8ths took those for about a week then i even started breakin the 8ths into 1/16 size crumbs, i took them once a day for about 5 days then started takin them everyother day for a week. then i even started takin them every three days, because i wanted as little sub in my system as possible when i jumped and since they have a halflife of 37.5hrs, thats why i was skiping days.
i now am on day 7 W/O suboxone and i woke up this morning took a handfull of aminos and im feelin good. i have almost no physical symptoms of withdrawl! the only thing is i still get horrible RLS but only when im trin to go to bed or lay down for a peroid of time. i only slept a few hours last night still.i hope i can sleep soon! but all i have to say is taper as much as possible read the amino acid protocol in the health pages, and learn as much as you can about the drug your taking or tring to get off it helps to know what your fightin. i spent damn near a whole day just readin up on suboxone. i wish i would of read up on it before i started takin it if i could go back i would have never touched the stuff after reading all these horror stories of withdrawls lasting from weeks to months. but good luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
Mike
WOW! I just wanted to say that you guys are such an inspiration to me!!! I am tapering now to come off subs and it really gives me alot of hope reading posts of others that have and are currently getting off of them. If anyone is willing to share their story like did you taper, how long were you on the subs, and how many mgs were you taking.....I would REALLY, REALLY appreciate it!! Thanks!
i really havent had too much of a lack of energy this whole time i dont know if its because of all the vitamins im taking or what the weird thig is all the aminos i take are relaxing and i still have plenty of energy i dont know if im just tired of sittin iin my damn house for a week!( im usually very active). and exercising always makes me feel better. and i know what you mean my backs been killin me. congratulations on day 4 it starts to get better soon!
I am glad to hear you are feeling better. I took your advice and I went for a 2 mile walk with my kids. We just got back and I feel better. I still feel like I am 500 pounds and I only way 135. When will that go away? I in my 4th day as of 1 pm. I must take ibuprofen now. My neck hurts pretty good ever since the walk.
no i dont have the night sweats anymore, pretty much halfway through today all of my physical symptoms of withdrawl are gone now. I hope it stays this way all of a suden i just felt fine i actually for once feel free from opiates i never thought this day would ever come! back when i was still using i just figured id end up using for the rest of my life, it feels great to actualy be the one in control again!
seriously- Its messed up- i would feel fine all day (like perrrrrfect) and then would go to bed and just flail around like an idiot... do you have the night sweats too still?
thank you and yea the rls dosent really bother me till i lay down for bed then it makes it hard as hell to stay asleep or fall asleep for that matter. thank you for the input.
hm the rls and sleepless nights were the last to go for me- come to think of it my legs wouldn't feel restless until I went to bed.... but the chills should be done by day 7/8 (but i continue to have night sweats at day 16...)
good luck - you did it!!!
