I was on Lortab OR Vicoprofen for pain for 3 months. I was getting addicted so I got off of the medication after my last refill. I was taking 1 morning and 1 at night and then 2 morning and 2 night. The Euphoria stopped and the pain relief also stopped so I said forget it, no more of this evil drug.
I have been off cold turkey now for 3-4 weeks now...
But my back pain is still unbearable. Every day I was in a lot of pain and was taking 800 mg Advil and Robaxen Muscle Relaxer and Neurontin for burning in my feet. It was not touching my pain but I said OH well I will live with it as I refuse to become an addict again..... (after a short time)
I went to a neurologist today who gave me Tramadol and I was assured that it was not addicting, I asked spec for something NON addicting (but stronger then Advil).. Advil is not helping so what can I do ???
I was also givin lidoderm patches which numb the back (non addicting) $500 !!!! I was shocked and am NOT getting it as insurance will not cover it. I have heard they are great but I will not be able to get them.
The doctor said I can take Advil with Tramadol also.....
Anyway I think I was manipulated and lied too. I think this Tramadol is addicting because my pain is gone and I am more relaxed. No euphoria, but very relaxed.....
I have been suffering for so long with horendous pain...
Let me first say I have never been addicted to anything in my life. My dad was a druggy who I never met, my grandfather, grandmother are alcoholics and everyone else in my family smokes ciggaretts are drinks. My mom smokes but she does not drink and does not do drugs......
I was proud of myself that I amongst a very addicted family on mom and dad's side I was never addicted to anything at all...
I am just not able to live a normal life without some sort of pain relief so I am not sure what I can do, without suffering. Does anyone know of another medication non addicting and is Tramadol addicting ???
Thank you!
Well allthough I have no euphoria with the Tramadol I do have slurred speech, tiredness and no pain. After taking it one time yesterday
