Valium is ok for short time use but beware. I was on valilum for 13 yrs and the dr. I had at the time told me to stop. He said it wasn't addictive and I didn't need to taper. WRONG!! I stayed in bed for three weeks, didn't eat, wouldn't answer the phone, just maxed out on anxiety and painic attacks. I ended up in the hospital and they tapered me off slowly.
Take it to get through your w/d and then throw it away. I wish you the best of luck in breaking your addiction and I know you can do it.....Take Care.....LS
Hey, I am here....I want to talk to you.....I will answer whatever I can.....

Yes, you can become dependant on Valium, so I wouldn't take too much, just enough to relax and to help you sleep. When I did my detox, Valium was one of the scripts my dr gave me, but I was only to take as needed. So its ok to take them, just try and only take them if you need them and dont continue to take them after your w/d is over or you will have another problem on your hands.
Immodium should have helped you, but some people w/d is just too strong, even for immodium. It didn't work for me either, I had to take like three at one time and I figured that wasn't good, so I just didn't even bother. I was taking almost anywhere from 1000-1200mgs on Oxy Contin a day, so my w/d was a full blown nightmare, that lasted two weeks with bad w/d then subsided and I had minor symptoms for another two weeks....good luck.,You can certainly do it...just keep fighting......dont give up...

Maybe I should try the other forum. Doesn't seem like anyone wants to talk to me.
Also I was wondering why doesn't the immodium stop the diahreah? I have taken so much immodium that it would normally stop me up for a month. Is there anything else that will stop the diahreah? Thank you, Babs
