I have been on hydrocodone for about 5 years for back issues. I had no idea what I was getting into. I was also on tramadol off and on.  I am on day 9 cold turkey and it us not good. I cry several times a day and get up nag go got up and went. Doesn't seem to be coming back. How long does this misery last?

Thank you all for the positive support. I was on 15-30 mg almost daily of hydro and 300 mg of tramadol at least 4 times per week. Never saw this extreme behavior change coming. Hard to function. Only physical symptom is just total non energy

How much were you using and for how long? You should be feeling better physically (although an occasional symptom will hit you out of the blue). Now you're entering the mental part and that is the worst. You will be happy again and you will have energy again (I remember wondering if I would ever see those two things again around days 9-13). Trust me, just keep pushing forward and you'll be happier than ever! My energy levels are nuts now, too! You're doing great! Please keep posting and letting us know how you're doing.

Day 9 is good. Are all the other symtoms gone? Is it just your emotions? Because if so, then the hard part is over.  Keep pushing

Sorry to hear you are suffering. Is this by chance your 1st time detoxing? U should be feeling better real soon. AND you should feel a real sense of pride. 9 Days is a HUGE FEAT! Do yo take vitamins? I've found 5 hour energy drinks (just a few sips at a time so I don't get sick) really gives you energy.
