SAD NEWS SUMMER 123 HAS PASSED AWAY

I found out today from one of our members who posts on the anxiety forum as well that one of our members passed away last weekend .Summer123 spent a fair share of time on our forum helping members with benzo addictions .She will be missed greatly .I did not write this but felt it really needed to be shared.

We have received some very sad news.

One of our beloved members, summer123, passed away this last weekend.
She had apparently had a couple of glasses of wine, then unable to sleep, took a xanax, possibly two. Then later, still unable to sleep, she took ambien, followed later by another one. None of these alone would normally be lethal, but the combination, mixed with the alcohol, proved to be the cause of an accidental overdose. She was taken to the ER the following morning unresponsive.
This was not a suicide. Summer was not suicidal. She apparently was doing well emotionally and feeling positive about life. But she did struggle with insomnia, and just desperately wanted some sleep that night. She just accidentally went a step too far in an attempt to attain it.

She and her family are in our thoughts and prayers.

benzos are alot more dangerous then people think ,even more so when mixed with other drugs and alcohol .Wine and benzos was a normal thing for me for a long time I never even considered the possibility that I could die .very scary

This is indeed so sad.  This is the fear my husband had for me.  Those who mix the drink, sleepers and anxiety meds are really at risk.  It is so scary.  Prayers for her family. tj

Don't like this kind of news, but we need to hear it. Prayers will with her and family. And a lesson on mixing things together.

Reminds me of another person - myself. I was so close to history. Many odd and unusual things happenned for my wife to happen to find me at the correct time when I was passed out and not breathing. Later to find that it was most likely a compromised liver function that turned a normal (for me) dose into an ER visit - there is always one more SOB than you counted on in the woodwork -
