I agree with lucyred68, a little more info would be helpful, I can tell you that the last two people I,ve seen & known to come off methadone did it with sheer determination & took it slow, they didnt come off of it till they were on 1mg, & the one out of the two, took almost 1 1/2 years, & she says that finally now, {last week}, she feels like she is almost her old self again, she claims that for about 14-16 days she felt weak & a bit anxious but other then that she did really good, shes my inspiration as I to am tapering off, Im at 12 & hopefully by the end of March I to shall be off this ****! Good Luck, I know how awful it can feel to be a mom & withdrawal, but you know what? We as mothers always no matter how awful we feel we keep on doing & going for our kids, I guess thats what being a good moms all about? Take Care of yourself, & dont give up! As your day will soon come when you can look back at this & think, you made it! you did it!
are you tapering or going it cold? how much methadone were you taking? do you have someone who can help you take care of the baby/ and do you have some sick leave coming? i would need to know the answers to all of these before i can give you much help.
Hi there...
Did you try to look anything up online? When ever I want to know anything, what meds or OTC's work best for what's ailing me that's what I do. Have you tried any OTC's for the cramps yet? Maybe you could ask a pharmacist and they could advise you?
Also, keep reading what others commented about who were on methadone and you will find out what helped them. I'm sorry I don't know much about this drug.
I know how it is with some doctors, they don't want to help much or try anything new.
Good luck and don't give up!!
