Starting to Withdraw from Subutex - HELP!!!

I took 8mg of Suboxone and 2-3 tablets of Ultram for about 6-months. TODAY I decided that I'm going to be off this med in 2-weeks (on St Patricks Day I want to be clean). I have not been 100% in these 6-months, lazy and moody, it's time to be 100% clean of ALL drugs and start being myself again.

I HAVE TO DO IT THIS TIME - SO ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!!!

I have the luxury of working from my house and I have a nearby gym with a sauna as I heard a good aerobic workout and sweating helps. If anyone has gone through this here is my plan. Please feel free to help - ANYTHING IS APPRECIATED as I understand this will be hell.

Reduce Suboxone to 4mg day 1st week
Reduce Ultram to 2-tabs/day 1st week
Work out aerobics - 1/2x day - sweat and more sweat
1-glass of red wine around supper (I have no problem with alcohol)
Starting week 2, only take Suboxone every other day with 1-Ultram

Does anyone see this plan working? Is Ultram also wicked to stop or are all the sweats, anxiety, frustration.... caused from the Suboxone??
Did anyone ever use Clonidine and did it help???

I have 2-wonderful children that want their father back ASAP - PLEASE, PLEASE HELP!!!

sounds like a steep jump at 4 mgs..maybe get on down to 1 mg then to every other day?  can be done but u dont wanna feel so bad u cave and start all over again..tapering is hard so maybe give them to someone u trust if u feel the need...write it out and pick a QUIT day and stick to it....seems like 4 mgs for a few days then 3 for a few then 2 for a week or so as it gets tougher going under 2 mgs..then go on down to 1mg for a week then maybe every other day with the one mg or even crumbs if need be... see how it goes..u can do this and many have....exercise will help tons..look into tyrosine for energy and 5htp at night for moods and sleep...good luck

Hey - your plan does sound good.  The only thing I would suggest is like the above post, try to taper to a lower amount.. take the 4mg for a week, then 2 mg, then 1mg, then half of 1mg.. then maybe jump.  Everything Ive read indicates the lower dose you jump from the less chance on having a brutal withdrawal.  I jumped at 1mg and wish I would have shaved it down even smaller first.  Either way - good luck!  You are blessed to have a gym, sauna and to work from home. All these things will help greatly!   You can get through it - sounds like your mind is made up and thats so important.  Stay deteremined.  Best of luck.

I w/d off of 2 mgs of suboxone, and it was hard I would try maybe tapering a little longer but if you are really determined it can be done, hot bathes and working out will definetly help..and it is deffinetly worth it,I nderstand the not being 100% I was not 100% also. Keep posting that really helps and there are so many supportive people here, also check out the health pages and the amino acids.Keep up the good work you can do this!
