State of limbo

I am a little past 2 months of stopping percocets, darvocets, and xanax.  I am taking now 12 mgs a day of suboxone.  My addiction was a long one and one of heavy use, so I'm really happy to have the suboxone option.  This is my question:  Did anyone here experience a period after getting clean where they just sort of felt in limbo?  Most physical symptoms are gone, sleep is getting much better, and I have had many days where I just felt so on top of the world.  For the past few days I have felt very moody though, and just down or blah in general.

Can anyone relate?

Thanks,
Lisa

You really are great girlie!  It has been awfully dark and rainy lately.  That's an excellent point.

Thank you!

I was off them totally for about 110 days and then took some for backpain last week for and haven't felt the need, or desire, for more. While they help the pain I didn't like the way they made me feel, wasn't what I remembered and that's a good thing.

Hmmm.  Then Limbo must be near that foreign country just to the west of Ohio...LOL

you dont build a tolerance to sub...if anything you require less overtime.  i have been on sub 10 months, started at 32 mgs, now down to 10mgs..

poetrygirl...i get this too, but there is always a reason behind it for me, depression, anxiety, pms, the weather-lack of sunshine, etc...

maybe there is something effecting you that maybe you are unaware of, havent pinpointed it yet?  having a long addiction (like yours and mine) covers a lot of those little insignificant things up that really can and do effect how we feel...everyday issues...
just a thought...
take care hun...

Vic - it's in the midwest actually!  How long have you been off of the vics?

Mike - If you want to, read my journals.  You might find some info there about suboxone.  Long story short - I did a lot of opiates over a really long period of time.  I tried many times before to quit.  I tried tapering, and c/t, but nothing ever stuck with me.  So for me, suboxone was a God send.

The doctor I am going to does take people off of drugs c/t and tapering, but in my case he knew suboxone was the answer.

I just feel so bad because my son is home for spring break and I feel like the most boring mother ever.  I have no access to my imagination and I really want to spend quality time but all he wants to do is play video games.  He's 17.

Is the State of Limbo on the east coast or west? Sorry, bad joke. I have been off of continual use of vicodin for a long time and still am dealing with up and down days. More down than up
