Still Experiencing PAWS With Sub

I apologize for my many posts these past couple of days. I don't have a sponsor yet, and my rehab center is closed for the weekend, so I don't have anyone to call.

Is it normal to still experience PAWS with suboxone. I have found that I am still very much dealing with the mental side of withdrawal although the sub has taken away the physical part. But I still feel very much like using. I still have very bad cravings. I am still really, really depressed and anxious. Is this normal. The dosage of suboxone I am on is 2mg/8mg naloxone and bup. I was using upwards of 10 hydrocodone 10 mg a day and 6-9 Ambien 10 mg each evening. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this Love-
It will help calm you and may give you some rest.
I agree, what you are experiencing is likely a combo of your situation and the Ambien withdrawal.  As Debbie mentioned, the subs would not help that and you were taking HIGH doses.
I recommend what has worked for me personally- the Yoga Nidra link I posted above as well as Tryptophan.  I suffer from terrible insomnia and have been on sleep medication for nearly two decades.  I substituted the tryptophan and slept better than I ever have without the hangover effect.  The bonus is it is also a natural seratonin booster and mood stabilizer.  It really helps with anxiety and rebuilding your seratonin levels without having to take a chemical SSRI.

Get some sleep.
You are going to be okay, I promise.

I have to agree...i dont think its PAWS...i think its just typical of someone that has recently quit. And yes, 2 1/2 weeks is recently quit. Did i read you right that they put you on 16mg per day of the subs??? B/c i really think thats too high! Give yourself some time and a break....
Its still really early....it will get better over time....

Yeah the ambien thing hard. I took them for years then started substituting. This is hard. My last 2 hours I've been crazy. We can't expect 2 much 2 quick. For me I've been steady every day taking something for 7 years. It's going to take awhile. You'll feel better after a meeting. Also you can go to AA or NA on line & get some assistance.
Please hang in there. Do anything to get your mind somewhere else. Take a bath, watch a movie, anything at all to distract your brain.

Honey of course you are going to feel like u need to use that is what you have been used to doing for a long time now and that doesn't go away over night. It takes a lot of hard work and truly being sick of being addicted. Being fed up with your life and wanting to do anything possible to have a new one. You have to just stick to it even when you feel like using don't and as u go on staying clean it will get easier ans easier and therefore you will feel good about not using and it will build your confidence to help you stay clean. In the meantime go to as many n/a meetings as you can! That will help so much and stop worrying so much it can't change the outcome its just driving you crazy and that will make you want to use even more.  Good luck to you hang in tgere it will so be worth it in the end.  And I just wanted to add if you believe in God on even slightly pray for him to take the want to use away and keep doing so but you also have to do your part and stay clean if you do you'll see you'll feel so much better!

You need to stop reading into things and self-diagnosing. YOU DO NOT HAVE PAWS. Get some rest tonight.

You are not experiencing PAWs.
How long ago did you quit cold turkey?
About 2 1/2 weeks?
Ambien detox is much longer and harder than the hydros.
Subs. Doesn't help with the ambient detox.
Depression  & Anxiety is common from detox of both drugs.
In light of your work situation I am sure that is adding to it.
Please try to do some breathing exercises, take a hot epsom salt bath,
Listen to music, distract yourself.
Keep the faith.
Sending prayers,
Debbie

with all you have been through you could very well be dealing with clinical depression.
but, if it is the sub's maybe you are on too high a dose??

we are here to listen and answer when we can
