Hi Melissa
The Center for Chemical Addictions Treatment (www.ccatsober.org) has docs who provide suboxone treatment. It's in Cincinnati, OH which is definitely not close to you if you're still in NE Ohio.
I know you posted this a while ago, so I hope you've already found a source but wanted to pass this along just in case.
Best of luck
this is a very old post mel is no longer here. if you wanna chat you can post a question on the thread, ppl will respond there. not many will reade this since itis so old.
If you have not found a doctor yet, I can tell you that there's a clinic called Arrowhead and there's 2 differant docs there that write Suboxone. They have in patient and out patient care also support groups.
Please write back and let me know how your doing. I am looking for friends to talk with about this issue. I'm new to this area and only know family and don't have many friends here at all.
Peace,
Michelle

I would check out the yellow pages main category: physicians and surgeons sub category: drug addiction. I live in a "suburb", however the doc's specializing in drug treatment and suboxone in the nearest city had advertisements in the yellow pages in my local telephone directory. You can also check the yellow pages on line for your area.
Good luck!
Mel,
Try going to NAABT.org and on the left hand side of the screen there will be a Physician matching service, you enter your information and the docs will contact you. A lot of people have had success with this.
Also each doc that is licensed to prescribe suboxone is allowed two patients to get free meds from reckitt benckiser. If you email the administrator at NAABT she can email you the forms to take to your doc once you find a good one.
Best of luck,
Henry
One thing you could try is to see if your primary care physician would be willing to take the 8 hour course in order to be able to prescribe suboxone and treat you. A lot of insurance companies will not pay for this. I guess it is still too early but I know that mine will at least pay for the prescription. There is a form on the suboxone website you fill out and they will even contact your doctor for you. This is the only other way i can think of to help you. I am not sure what your drug habit was before but I know that i spent WAY more on getting my DOC than I am on suboxone. As for comments about doctors being drug dealers, my Doctor is a psychiatrist and is wonderful. He is caring and although i am sure he profits (doesn't anyone who runs a business) I believe with all my heart that he is honestly interested in my well being. Good Luck! If i can answer any further questions you can pm me. Take care! P.S. The 350.00 is usually just for the 1st visit after that the normal cost is between $100.00 - $150.00.
Be careful with Sub doctors...There phones are out of service because they are out of buss...Same thing happened here in Washington D.C when i started looking......Boy did i find a good one LOL.
They are legal drug dealers....Be careful....Unless you are major major drug addict it is not worth it...
Hi there, I did go to the webisite, and ever number that is listed is either disconnected, or the Dr doesn't take Insurnace. (which I only found one dr that I was actually abel to get in and see, and find out they don't take any insurance.) and at 350 a visit, who can afford that!
I live near cleveland..
Hi
What part of NE ohio are you in? I am looking at the map that shows a listing of Doctors but I would need a more specific area i.e. Youngstown, Toledo etc. (which both seem to have a lot). Also, if you want to do this yourself just go to suboxone.com and type in either your zip or just the state and it will give you a listing. Let me know if I can be of more help!
