How can I get my friend to not take something?

My friend lives up in the mountains. I just got off the phone with him about 30 minutes ago. He has been off of his wifes loratabs but for about 3 days (if he is not lying). He told me one of the friends he has wanted to give him a couple nuvigil pills for the WD's. I honestly have no clue what that is all about. I looked at a drug interaction thing, and didn't see any warnings for the vitamins and protien shakes he is taking, but something just don't sound right. It is by prescription and he said it's for energy. I suggested everything I am taking and even told him about the "up" energy pills I bought but still haven't taken, he says this is better. I looked a good deal for something, and I found nothing (information), can someone please set this straight so I can call him and tell him the medical reasons not to take this?

Yeah, I doubt staying up bothers him at all. I just want to make sure he is not going to take something that can hurt him if he really did stop taking the loratab.

I like my bed too, just got two new king size pillows and new sheets......satin, we slept like it was raining last night.

Anyways, yeah, I was hoping for the reason of him liking it to much alone I could scare him with reasons for him not to take it if he stopped the loratab.

It's a stimulant. It has some side effects like altered mood, dizziness, erratic behavior. Some people swear by it. It's prescribed for narcolepsy, people who work the night shift or fall asleep during the day...that sort of thing.   It definitely can keep you awake all day and all night. For that reason alone,I wouldn't take it! LOL  I like my bed too much!
