Absolutely.  Even those of us who have been here for years still manage to inadvertently break the rules sometimes.  And I've gotten plenty of criticism for different things from different people.  While it's NEVER fun to hear criticism, even when it's expressed in the nicest of ways, how else will we learn?  I've had to take an honest look at things people told me in the past, and with the exception of a few times, most always there was a valid point and I had to reassess how I do things.

This is a great place.  Don't let something unimportant ruin that for you.

Yeah, what they said! I actually mentioned to my wife that you get it. She saw this and asked what was up. Like Nursegirl said, we all get posts removed and given criticism. Shoot wasn't that long ago me and nursegirl had our posts erased on the same thread. I've been warned about different things more than once. You've been doing great, come back if you think this place has helped you. I appreciate your effort and comments. By the way, I think my comments were removed with yours, no biggie.

And Kyle, what we do without his high-handed judgement. Ha!!! love it. Thanks for coming back Kyle.

If you're talking about posts being removed by the mods, you cannot take that personally, it happens to all of us.  Especially being new, you're not aware of how everything works just yet.  This is one of the busiest forums on MH, and the mods really work hard to keep it running smoothly.  You won't have everything figured out right away, and if you have a question about something, or aren't sure, just ask.  Dominosarah and gnarly are your community leaders here, you can send them a PM anytime with any concerns or questions.

If others were giving you constructive criticism, try also not to take that personally either.  If the message wasn't put in an abusive way, it's just someone familiar with the forum, offering some advice.

This forum is an amazing place for support and education.  You have to decide whether you're willing to leave all of that behind over something not so important.

I've been on this forum for 18 months. I'm not known for my hand-holding approach. I've been called all sorts of names, been told never to comment on threads again, and have been accused of high-handed judgement of people. At one point I announced that I was leaving. Was gone for almost three weeks. And realized I was doing myself more harm than good by not being on this forum. I decided that if someone couldn't handle my feedback then they probably weren't really ready to listen anyway.  So keep that in mind.
