i am trying to go cold turkey off of methdone it has been 4days but i am so sick and have no strenght cant eat any suggestions

Dont give up....I too just detoxed from methadone! Its been 20 days today cold turkey after 10 yrs in MMT....went from 100mg after 5 yrs....to the 7 day drop from 60 mg~5mg...10mg a day drop...I was so DONE..and I was sooo sick but it will turn...you will feel better! Trust me...what was your useage and are you using any chemicals or scripts? Check my profile out...you'll see my story! Im here just reach out...this can be done! Im doin it!

I feel for you, in a personal way. How much for how long we're you taking methadone? Getting of that drug was the hardest and best thing I have ever done for me and those who know me. Cal/mag/zinc tabs help the muscle aches and RLS. EmergenC or G2 Gatorade help stay hydrated. Move around, I paced the back yard until I coul go in public to swim. Immodium helps the stmach. Protein drinks have amino acids needed to heal and keep you nourished when it's hard to eat. Hang in there, it's worth it, doesn't feel like it, I know, but it is worth it. You can't see it yet, but your life is getting better every minute you don't put Mdone in it. You are doing the right thing, know that.

sorry you are going thru this...i don't have experience with dones but alot of people on here do...it's kinda slow in the mornings so hang on and keep watching the post....people will start stopping by with info and support....they will want to know how many mgs you jumped from and how long have you been on it...that's so they can better help you.  Good luck with this....stay strong....people will be around shortly....this site is great..
