how do you keep moven foward?? i have been in jail for 8 months now they finally released me to house arrest what should be steps to take??

Have you checked out the 12 step meeting guide at the bottom of this page? You need aftercare, and now you are feeling exactly why. I know lots of people that ended up with jobs, new friends, child care, and general support by being in AA/NA. Why haven't you gone yet?

Just keep putting one foot in front of the other.  I know this is tough and the job market isnt very good but you are trying.  Do you have a time frame on getting a job?

well i have been moven foward but there are so many disappointments now that i am getting use to being home i feel like im losen control again! not usen but feel like i will fall off cause jobs are hard to find and all my meetings and taking care of my daughter..if i dont find one i will go to prison! i need strenghth bad!

Change your playground and playmates.  Get into some form of aftercare.  Surround yourself with supportive people.  You can do this!

I would connect with 12 step meetings, counseling, church, and/or anything that will support you in being the person you want to be. I'm a few weeks behind you on clean time, but learning to live a completely new life takes work and support. Old habits die slow. There will be a moment of temptation, meetings will help you form a plan on how to deal with it.

Stay away from the negative things in your life.. Keep moving forward and relaimmyour life.. Don't feel sorry for yourself & past mistakes.. Keep moving foward
