Day 4 NO METHADONE

I am at day 4 now last night the insomnia kicked in full throtle which was kinda crazy after feeling sooooo good yesterday (well compared to the other days). The family and I (even our english bulldog came along) went a 1 mile hike down to a beatifull waterfall yesterday and b/c I was still feeling great and not tired yet we went on another 1/2 mile walk (the 2nd one was flat ground where the first was on a 40% slope which included 434 stair steps round trip) I think this is why I feel so bad today is b/c I pushed to hard yesterday. But anyways we will see what today may bring and I am in great hopes that it will get better as the day goes on (it did yesterday). If there is anyone out there that is reading this and is in need of some one to talk to just send me a message and I will gladly let you know what to expect from this. Like a person told me the other day just when you think it is over it WILL REAR IT'S UGLY HEAD AGAIN!!!! Just remember it can be done you just have to stick it out and one day you will feel normal again.

Thanks. Today I went to my mothers house so the hubby could do some work for her. I sat on the couch freezing my butt off most of the time (it was in the 70s there and I had jeans, a hoody and a blanket over me) my stomach was cramping the whole time there. I finally went and got some valarena root to help me sleep as I had heard it will help. I sure hope so I took a trazadone last night (50mg) and it didnt even faze me one bit which is really odd. But oh well as long as my stomach and back isnt bothering me I can get around the leg pain (it has eased off as the day went on). I try and thank god for every day that I am sober and for his help thru this. I know the first day it seemed like I prayed all day long. I just have to remind myself everyday that it will be worth it in the end. I almost thought I wouldnt get thru it today but thanks to the hubby for the support he gave me I got thru it. I have been taking multi vitamns, vitamn C and antioxidents and ensure (ensure is mostly b/c I havent been able to eat much and I knew it would help me). Thank You for your support thru this and god bless.

HI Jenn....you will find methadone very cyclic keep up with the exercise its the best thing for the energy crash ....my wife got me out for a walk every day.....as for the insomnia its just part of the detox you where lucky to sleep early on I tryed just about every thing but the sleeptime tea at walmar helped the most sip on a cup b/4 bed then hit a hot hot bath....as hot as you can stand it even if its just for 5 or 10 min get out and hit the bed on top of the covers and dry off from there after your dry just lay there  and air cool this will relax you enough to fall asleep
if your mind is racing I found praying to be helpful eventually you will fall asleep dont be suprised if you wake up at 3 in the morning wired for sound as you progress you will get more sleep but its a little ruff in the beginning....your doing really well so far try not to get discouraged you will get threw this....I did and it is so so worth it hang in there good luck and God bless.....Gnarly
