To Suboxone or not????

I haven't posted much lately, but have done a lot of reading, which helps. I have used ultram and norco for several years. My avg intake is 10 50 mg ultram and maybe 60mg norco/day. I have been unsuccessful w/tapering(no willpower) also CT’ed successfully when I was preg 4 yrs ago. That was a hell I don’t wish to relive. I’ve been spinning my wheels for some time now. I am considering a suboxone taper. I am looking for anyone who successfully used suboxone. I’m looking for a relatively quick taper NO MAINTENCE. Any thoughts are appreciated. I do wk in a stressful environment full time and have a three year old inpt is not an option nor is not wkin.

ochooked just finished a 21 day taper and has been off the sub for 13 days today..why dont u pme him?

i did the maintenance program and it worked great, but for youre addiction i would think you would be fine for a month long detox tapering schedule with suboxone that would be youre best bet...if you ahve any questions regarding suboxone let me know, iw as on it for 8 months at 32 mgs, try a low dose it works actaully better

You have to slowly taper the Ultram. You can c/t the hydro, but should taper the Ultram.

I just wonder how hard it becomes when the dose of suboxone is tapered to a low mg? I wonder if you experience fierce W/D?

now im new on sub about 2 weeks im not doing the 21 day plan im doing a 4 month plan, but i just wanted to let you know how its been working for me. from the first dose i took i felt totaly normal, like before i started using. i have no withdrawls and had only 1 craving(but i think that happen cause of stress and moving back home not the sub) but when i toke a piece of sub it went away. im very happy on it and im 2 weeks clean and trust me im very weak and no will power. tried ct only lasted 2 days, tried tapering but i endedup taking more after a few days of that, and methadone was not an option for me, i think thats worse then what i was taking, so i tried sub, im very very happy with it. and like i said i feel totaly normal, and able to function normally one it. take care of my 3 kids and all

i am using very small amounts (2 mgs a day) of Sub to get through methadone addiction.  i get them from a friend.  i don't want to go on a "suboxone program" that will take me months or a year to get off of anf end up spending lots of money on the stuff.  the way i am using it has helped so far.  i just have to be REALLY careful with the stuff.  it is strong.
