I would recommend you do this under the supervision of a doctor as nurse girl suggested. Withdrawal off of benzos are no joke, you can have a seizure! I have seen it first hand, and its scary as hell.  I had to be put on meds just to avoid the seizures, twitching and spasming. I know 0.5 mg seems like a small dose, but it builds in your system with repeated daily use.  Don't do it by yourself.

It doesn't matter if the dose is small, if a person has been taking a benzo regularly (not just "PRN", or as needed) for longer than about 3 months (give or take), the med should be tapered due to w/d.  Of coursde, benzo w/d can be serious, it should be done under the supervision and guidance of a physician to be safe.

I would definitely ask your doctor first, but IMO I don't think it should be a problem at all.

Depends on how long you have been taking it.
