Tramadol dependency and pregnancy

I'm looking for help with a tramadol dependency. I take a pretty low dose but need to stop before I give birth to my baby. Yes, I'm pregnant. I would love to just go cold turkey but I have 2 toddlers at home with me and can't really just hide in my bed room all day. I was told by a friend that if I substitute 1 vicodine/ per day for 5 days. My body will detox off tram while the vic's will trick my mind and I'll still be able to function.

Please dont listen to your friend with this one.  Is your doctor aware of your tramadol dependancy?

Please don't put that plan your friend told you into effect. Vicodin is another opiate and then you'll be dependent on that...

Anything you want to do must go through your doctor. It's the safest way and that's what you'll keep hearing on this forum.

please talk to your doctor right away. do not replace vicodin for the tramadol. your doctor will give you a safe taper plan. you can not go cold turkey while pregnant it is dangerous.
