Thanks! I read a lot of the journals, and do feel some better. It's just that I am still having problems from benzo w/d at 26 mos. off(given for sleep during chemo). The tramadol is for nerve pain that probably was from tolerance w/ds from Xanax. Vicious circle, huh? Thanks again clean in ks!!!
If you take some time to read the tramadol journals.....the link I gave you up there.....even if you don't read all 61 of them (LOL)....you will find some help and answers specific to Tramadol.
Post yourself on the latest ongoing journal (#61)....and people will respond to you there as well. Hope that helps~
The 2 doctors at the pain clinic both say the same for tapering. Every pharmacist tells me the same thing. I asked one pharmacist where he got the information, and he said "in school". Thanks for the link. I plan to taper by 1/4 pill once a week, IF I can last through it. Too, I would appreciate information on withdrawal symptoms, and what to expect.
Welcome back gizmo!
It's possible to taper off the tramadol and be free as you know. The plan your dr gave you back in Sept 2013 sounded like it was too fast for you. Have you talked to your dr since then and gotten a new taper plan?
The journal you were looking for back in Sept may be of some help to you. It's an ongoing journal where tramadol addicts talk back and forth and share their experience, strength and hope. I don't know if you ever found that journal a few months ago...but thought I'd give you the link the the new one they are on....there are a total of 61 journals now....great place to read and learn and get support. Here's the link:

Wishing you the best....hope that helps you~
Thank you so much! You have been so helpful to me. I hope you are doing well. So, you cut 1/4 a tablet every few days and not once per week?
Hi & Welcome,
It is a violation of our guidelines to give out taper schedules. We are medical professionals here so you can see why. Your best bet is to talk with your prescribing physician and let them know what you want to do . Get the schedule from them and take it slow coming down. Tramadol can produce seizures so be sure to follow the schedule to the letter. Let us know how you are doing.
