Hey Kimmi,
Sorry for lack of communication. Feelin' pretty crappy myself. I'm concerned about your man's high heartrate. Have you you checked blood pressure? This could be a potentially very dangerous situation. I know it's a big deal, but if pulse and BP is highly elevated (not uncommon on opiate w/d) ya'll need to go to the Doc and be straight up with him and get something (Clonodine?) to get this under control. If he strokes out, it kinda negates getting of the drugs huh?
Greetings,
Thank you very much for responding...He has been on valium for 4 years now as part of his pain regiment. I told him not to go cold turkey for he is sick with fever, stomach pains, chills, high heart rate (108). I am keeping my eye on him and praying it goes well for I cannot stop him. Thank you again...

Greetings,
Thank you very much for your response. He has been on valium for 4 years now as part of a pain regiment. He is still going to cold turkey and I do not like that at all. He is sick with a fever, stomach, high heart rate, congestion and in a lot of pain. I cannot stop him from cold turkey but I can try and help him as much as I can. I love this man and he is not alone.....
Bright Blessings

Greetings,

I agree with everyone regarding Dr. involvement, however, one step at a time. Valium is a great muscle relaxer which can aid in getting off opioids (morphine/vicodin). It can make a bad w/d minimally more tolerable (sleep, less skeenchy). Just something to think about. I'm not currenty addicted to Valium (have been before) but am using it to get off Subutex.
You really need to speak to a doctor. Giving up anything is very hard, let alone 3 things at once, maybe its best to take one thing at a time. If you try and rush every thing at once it could just as easily back fire.
A big well done to him, opiates and Valium can be a big problem stopping.
good luck and God bless.......Gnarly
