I agree with everyone else that posted.Tramadol is sneaky addictive and that Ibuprofen 800mg 3 times a day alternating with 1000mg tylenol 4 times a day will help the pain as well.
I had an infected root canal twice and only took the otc pain meds for it.
Take prilosec to help the tummy because of the ibuprofen dose.
danajm, i've been there with an infected root ( well, a couple of them ) and apart from the antibiotics, ibuprofen worked wonderful.-
good luck !
I would be telling your dentist that you are an addict and asking for something non narcotic. Read some of the posts here on the ones who have come off tramadol....brutal stuff. sara
I would recommend that you stop takin the tram//ultram. I think that your pain could be handled with IB 800mg or something. Trams give you that same high as tabs and the w/ds are bad. I hear that even for a short tram use that you can still w/d---i am talking after only a week or so of use. I also hear that the tram w/d is worse than loratab w/ds. Either way its not really about the withdrawals its about you staying clean-----and thats going to be hard to do with you opening this door your opening right now. I would stop using those pills before you are rite back at the place place you were at not long ago
Yes being that you are an addict tramadol is the worst thing you can take its highly addicting and hell to come off on .
You are taking a huge risk by taking that. I was addicted to opiates and given ultram YEARS later, and I got addicted to it REALLY quickly. Do yourself a favor, and stop it before you have to go thru the worst WDs of your life! It is miserable, long and not to mention dangerous! I'm speaking from experience. It is the devil drug!
I have detoxed many times from opiates and benzos, and they are NOTHING compared to Ultram! Believe me....just stop it now before it is too late!
Good luck!
Ultram is very addicting to some people. I suggest you call your Dentist and tell them that you need to be subscribed something non addicting for pain. Ultram, Tramadol wd's can be longer than real opiate withdrawals and alot worse. Get off it now if you can.
Hi,
Did you tell the dentist, or whomever prescribed the Ultram, that you are an addict?
